The Benadir region is an administrative area located in Somalia, specifically within the larger capital city of Mogadishu. It's one of the 18 administrative regions in Somalia and holds significant political and economic importance due to its central location and being the seat of the national government.
Within the Benadir region, Mogadishu is divided into districts, each with its own local administration. The exact number and boundaries of these districts may change over time due to administrative adjustments or local governance changes. However, as of my last update, some of the main districts within the Benadir region include:
Hamar Weyne: This district is known for its markets, historical sites, and residential areas. It hosts a diverse population and serves as a commercial hub.
Wardhigley: Wardhigley is another important district in Mogadishu, characterized by its markets, residential areas, and educational institutions.
Hodan: Hodan is known for its markets, businesses, and bustling commercial activities. It's a vibrant district with a mix of residential and commercial areas.
Wadajir: This district is an essential part of Mogadishu, comprising residential neighborhoods, markets, and community centers.
